SEATTLE — Red Sox first baseman Hanley Ramirez did not play against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night because of a sprained left wrist and is expected to miss at least a few days.
X-rays and an MRI came back negative but Ramirez had his wrist encased in a large black brace when he spoke to reporters on Wednesday night, 24 hours after falling on some stairs when leaving the visitor’s dugout at Safeco Field.
